Hung-Jui (Ray) Tan, MD, assistant professor of urology and director of the Urologic Oncology Fellowship Program, was named the 2021-2022 James W. Woods Junior Faculty Award recipient.

Matthew Nielsen has been selected as the next chair of the American Urological Association's Science & Quality Council

The American Urological Association Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Membership Committee has named Mary Dunn, RN, MSN, OCN, NP-C, as the recipient of the 2021 APP of the Year Award. This award was established to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of APPs in the field of urology. This award is presented annually to an AUA APP Member in recognition of their strong leadership skills and outstanding patient care in the field of urology.

Matt Nielsen, MD, MS, FACS, has been named Chair of the UNC School of Medicine's Department of Urology. Since January 2020, Nielsen has served the Department as interim Chair.

Congratulations to Dr. Angela Smith on their recent elections to the Board of Directors for the Society of Women in Urology (SWIU). Dr. Smith will serve a 2-year term on the Board and is currently holding the position as the Member-At-Large.
