An ad hoc committee has been appointed to undertake a routine review of the McAllister Heart Institute and Co-Directors Drs. Victoria Bautch and Rick Stouffer. The review is a standard procedure of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and will take place on October 20, 2021.

Clinical leaders of Children’s hospitals in the North Carolina Triangle region, have shared a joint letter to advance and protect child health. Hospitalizations of children due to COVID have increased over 4-fold in the past month. The known risk of not having a vaccine available to children has become undeniable.

The American Burn Association (ABA) conducted a site visit on June 18, 2021 of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center. The ABA Burn Center Verification Review Committee approved the site report and has approved the Burn Center for re-verification as an Adult and Pediatric Burn Center through July 31, 2024. They commend the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center for its commitment to excellence and its dedication to providing quality burn care to patients.
