Thank you for your patience and support over the last week and a half as we have all made adjustments to accommodate the latest phase of the Surgical Tower construction project. Substantial changes have been made to how we access the hospital, and the feedback we have received from patients and guests has been largely positive. As part of the transition to myTime, new time clocks are in the process of being installed throughout the Medical Center campus, clinics and other buildings where State employees work. Beginning Dec. 16, you will also be able to clock in and out using the desktop application, myClock. Find out more about what to expect when myTime goes into effect.

We worked with leadership in each area to determine the number and locations of the new time clocks. To ensure all clocks will be installed by Dec. 16, you will notice vendors working in your areas up to 24/7.

Starting on Saturday, Dec. 8, the Terrace Café will receive kitchen renovations. To ensure a smooth process, Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) will close the Terrace Café at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. It will re-open at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10. NFS will open the Corner Café from 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. on both Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9.

The Center for Health Innovation of UNC Health Care and the UNC School of Medicine has released the request for proposal for its 2019 $50,000 Innovation Pilot Awards. All UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care employees from any entity are eligible to apply. Applications are due Jan. 15, 2019, and as many as four awards of up to $50,000 each will be announced in March.
