School of Medicine IT will be performing maintenance to SOM file services on Saturday, December 5th starting at 10AM and finishing up around 5PM. The School of Medicine IT SOM file services are usually accessed as the “H:”, “G:”, and “J:” drives. This work is non-disruptive and should cause no downtime.

The UNC Health & UNC School of Medicine newsroom is transitioning to a WordPress content management system. This will have immediate implications for the Vital Signs newsletter, which – temporarily – will appear as a text-heavy email with limited images starting October 8.

The myHR Portal is now live for UNC Health Care State employees’ HR needs – including questions about myTime.

The launch of myHR is almost here – beginning at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, State employees will begin using myTime instead of Kronos. Find more information about what this change means, final preparations for the Go-Live and command center information here.

As part of the transition to myTime, new time clocks are in the process of being installed throughout the Medical Center campus, clinics and other buildings where State employees work. Beginning Dec. 16, you will also be able to clock in and out using the desktop application, myClock. Find out more about what to expect when myTime goes into effect.

The first School of Medicine IT Support Hub opened for business in mid-April, serving clients in the Physician’s Office Building, Family Medicine, and Radiation Oncology areas. Additional hubs are set to follow in the coming months, with the Central Hub, supporting clients on the north side of Manning Drive, opening in July. Going forward, desktop support and other infrastructure services will be offered through hubs staffed by IT professionals strategically located throughout the School of Medicine campus.
