The School of Medicine’s MD program is seeking to diversify the educators who teach our medical students. We seek a postdoctoral fellow who will teach in the medical school curriculum for an approximately 4-week block during the 2021-22 academic year and during this time be occupied for 75% of the time. The principal investigator (PI) will receive funding to support the salary of the postdoctoral fellow for the one-month effort.

Amy Bryant, MD, MSCR, has accepted the role of educational champion to help lead the establishment of the Novant Regional Campus in Charlotte. She will work closely with the Deans’ Office and the Novant leadership team to establish a regional medical campus by March 2022.

Effective Jan. 11, the Adult Prepare Red Blood Cell and Transfuse Red Blood Cell orders will default to a unit setting of 1. To avoid transfusing more blood than necessary, providers are encouraged to order one unit of blood at a time for stable, non-bleeding patients, and then clinically reassess the patient prior to ordering subsequent units.
