Beginning immediately, we ask that everyone at Go-Live #1 locations call-in ALL Epic@UNC issues to the Help Desk at 984-974-4357. To ensure no issues are missed, ISD will continue to monitor the fax line for low priority tickets in the short-term.

In late April 2014, ISD will begin transitioning UNC Hospitals' and clinics landline phone numbers beginning with 919-966-, 919-843-, 919-445-, 919-962-, 919-595-, and 919-957- to new 10-digit phone numbers using the Triangle's new “984” area code. During this year-long project, ISD also will upgrade our physical phone sets to Cisco Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) technology.

With the implementation of Epic@UNC, there will be a new process using Epic@UNC to submit requests to the UNC Medication Assistance Program (MAP). Effective April 4, 2014, Medication Assistance Request Forms (MARF) will no longer be accepted.

Dragon Medical 360 Network Edition Dictation is the dictation tool selected for provider voice transcription recognition in Epic@UNC. As with all aspects of Epic@UNC, training is required before clinicians providers receive a Dragon login/password and any appropriate hardware.
